The Division has a five-member Commission who meet bi-monthly to conduct rulemaking hearings, make policy decisions, consider licensing matters, review complaints and take disciplinary action against real estate brokers. The five Commission members consist of three real estate brokers, one expert in the area of subdivisions and one member of the public. The Commission members serve a three-year term.

The Division also has a seven-member Board who meet monthly to conduct rulemaking hearings, make policy decisions, consider licensing matters, review complaints and take disciplinary action against real estate appraisers. The Board consists of three licensed or certified appraisers, one county assessor, one banker with experience in mortgage lending, and two members of the public. The Board members serve a three-year term.

The mortgage loan originator program is overseen by a five-member Board. Three members are licensed mortgage loan originators and two members represent the public at large. Each member serves a four year term. The Board makes final decisions that concern rulemaking hearings, policy decisions, licensing matters, complaints and disciplinary actions taken against mortgage loan originators.

The Conservation Easement Oversight Commission (Commission) gives advice and recommendations to the Colorado Division of Real Estate (Division) on the certification of easement holders and appraisals of conservation easements, and reviews applications for tax credit certificates and optional preliminary advisory opinions. The Commission is comprised of nine members: three permanent members from state agencies with responsibilities for conservation and six members appointed by the Governor for three-year terms. Commission meetings are held at least quarterly and are open to the public.
