Board of Nursing
Don't lose your multistate license - Get a background check: Time is running out to get your background check. Background check information must be received and reviewed by the Board of Nursing prior to April 19, 2018 for those issued a multistate license between July 21, 2017, and January 18, 2018. The deadline is only 4 business days away, and failing to meet this requirement could adversely affect your ability to practice. Background checks are a requirement of the eNLC, and all nurses issued a license during the above time period must obtain a fingerprint background check as soon as possible. As of April 12, 2018, the Colorado State Board of Nursing has received only 62.1 percent of required background checks for this group. Due to graduations across Colorado, we expect application submissions to rise in the next few weeks, which likely will increase processing times. In addition, background checks that identify potential issues may require more review time. If you have not submitted your fingerprints to CBI, do not delay.
