Board of Nursing
Don't lose your multistate license - Get a background check: Background checks are a requirement of the eNLC. Therefore, all new applicants and current Colorado nurses issued a multi-state license between July 21, 2017, and January 18, 2018, must obtain fingerprint background checks as soon as possible. As of March 23, 2018, the Colorado State Board of Nursing has received only 35 percent of required background checks for this group of licensed nurses. Background check information must be received and reviewed by the Board of Nursing prior to April 19, 2018, in order to avoid possible adverse impact to your license status. This deadline is only four weeks away. If nurses continue to delay, a late influx of requests will likely increase processing times. In addition, background checks that identify potential issues also may require more review time. It is imperative that background checks are submitted as soon as possible.
