Employee Safety Services
The purpose and mission of the Employee Safety Services Team is to develop a safety culture. This is accomplished through providing comprehensive safety programs, ergonomic assessments, training and resources free to state employees. New to the state in 2017 is the launch of the SPIRIT Team (Safety, People, Integrity, Responsibility, Innovation, Teamwork). This team is managed by Employee Safety Services and made up of employees across all agencies in the state. The SPIRIT Team meets quarterly to share information and build awareness of how a safety minded attitude will grow into a culture and help prevent injuries and hazardous conditions in the workplace.
