The Division of Criminal Justice provides assistance to state and local agencies in the criminal justice system by analyzing policy, conducting criminal justice research, managing programs, and administering grants. Our mission is to improve the safety of the community, the quality of services to crime victims, and the effectiveness of services to offenders. Latest News

The Office for Victims Programs (OVP) houses a number of programs to support victims of crime. The programs include grant funding for victim service agencies, support for local victim compensation and Victim Assistance and Law Enforcement (VALE) programs, victim rights compliance, supporting statewide anti-human trafficking efforts, and supporting statewide responses to sexual assault.
The Office of Research and Statistics, within the Colorado Division of Criminal Justice (DCJ), is seeking applicants from Public Safety Answering Points (PSAPs) or agencies that operate PSAPs to become a Colorado Public Safety Answering Point (PSAP) Alternative Response (AR) Peer Learning Site.
