State Fleet Wins Clean Cities Award
Colorado State Fleet has been recognized for the Northern Colorado Clean Cities "In it for the Long Haul Award." This award represents early adopters and implementers of alternative fuels and technology. State Fleet continues to be pioneers and has demonstrated a lifetime commitment to sustainable transportation. State Fleet has implemented several projects like idle reduction measures, electric vehicle stations, and the Motor Pool program, displacing over 275,000 gasoline gallons equivalents -- reducing over 1,650 tons of greenhouse gas emissions in 2018 alone! This award recognizes the fleet’s accomplishments in improving mobility for all residents, reducing transportation greenhouse gas and air pollution emissions, and improving the safety for all Coloradans. State Fleet commends the efforts put forth by each departments representatives who make up the Motor Vehicle Advisory Council (MVAC) and their teams for supporting the ongoing Governor's Greening initiative for the State of Colorado.
