CROWLEY COUNTY STAGE 2 FIRE RESTRICTIONS
The Crowley County Commissioners in conjunction with the Crowley County Sheriff’s Office and the Crowley County Volunteer Fire Departments have determined that the severity of the drought has made fire an imminent danger to the safety and welfare of the citizens of Crowley County. As such, effective Thursday, June 14, 2018, Stage 2 Fire Restrictions will be implemented for the unincorporated areas of Crowley County. These restrictions include:
No outdoor welding without specific authorization by the Sheriff’s Office.
No outdoor smoking except at residences or designated smoking areas.
No sale or use of fireworks at any location.
Spark arresters are required on all-terrain vehicles.
No recreational burning, to include open camp fires and enclosed fires such as
chimineas, backyard fireplaces, barrels or pits.
No trash burning, to include trash in barrels or pits.
No charcoal grills except at residences. Coals must be watched at all times and
disposed of in a safe and proper manner. Propane grilling is allowed without restriction.
No agricultural burning without a permit from the Sheriff’s Office.
