Health disparities report
The Colorado 2013 Health Disparities Report provides baseline data and case studies on how various groups are faring in the ten areas identified as Colorado's Winnable Battles. The purpose of the report is to identify strengths and disparities among groups and to inform efforts to achieve better health for all Coloradans, so that gains may be enjoyed equally.
This follow-up white paper to the 2013 Health Disparities Report highlights the efforts by the Colorado Department of Transportation to reconstruct the structurally deficient 50-year-old I-70 viaduct, in a way that brings improvements to the Elyria and Swansea Neighborhood, located northeast of downtown Denver, and reduces the health impacts of the highway.
The report was made possible by a federal grant the Office of Minority Health in the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.
