We recognize the town of Castle Rock as an excellent drinking water system

The town of Castle Rock has achieved gold status in the Pursuing Excellence Program. Castle Rock becomes the ninth public water system, of the 1,971 public water systems, to be recognized since the program was created in 2014. We initiated the program to recognize public drinking water system operators for their commitment to excellence in all aspects of their water system.

Ron Falco, Safe Drinking Water Program manager, said: “From efforts to protect source water, to advancing the town’s storage facilities, and reducing energy usage, Castle Rock demonstrated it is among the leaders in the water industry statewide. The town’s water operators also implemented new business processes saving the utility more than $50,000.”

While Castle Rock is the only system to be awarded with gold status, there are eight other systems that are currently at participant status:

  2. Castle Pines
