CCPD Grant Program Review Committee

The CCPD Review Committee oversees the strategic planning and funding recommendations for the Cancer, Cardiovascular and Chronic Pulmonary Disease (CCPD) Grants Program.
FY 19-21 RFA #6519 funding recommendations
Following the RFA #6519 application review process and deliberations at the funding conference on December 7 and 8, 2017, the CCPD Review Committee recommended 18 applications/projects for funding, and four applications/projects if funding is available. The recommended applications/projects will be presented to the state Board of Health in the spring of 2018 for final approval. The total funding amount per recommended application/project remains to be determined. Additional information will be provided to all applicants, recommended and not, in the upcoming weeks.
Vacancy announcement
The CCPD Grants Program, on behalf of the Colorado Board of Health, is currently seeking applications from a representative of the rural interests in regard to the prevention, early detection, and treatment of cancer, cardiovascular disease, and chronic pulmonary disease to serve on the statutorily mandated grant program CCPD Review Committee. Please review the vacancy announcement and application form for more details and contact information.
Those interested in serving must submit a 1) signed application form, 2) current resume or curriculum vitae, and 3) statement of interest to serve on this committee by 5 p.m. on Wednesday, January 31, 2018. Those who reside outside of the Denver metro area and particularly in rural areas of the state are strongly encouraged to apply.
The next CCPD Review Committee meeting will be Friday, January 12, 2018, 1 to 4 p.m. at CDPHE. The meeting will be available via webinar for those who cannot attend in person. The committee meets on the second Friday of each month from 1 to 4 p.m.

About the CCPD Review Committee
  • A 16-member working advisory board develops funding priorities, reviews grant applications and makes recommendations to the Board of Health for the competitive grants program.
  • Volunteer members are appointed by the Board of Health, the Legislature and CDPHE's executive director, and serve a three-year term.
  • Created in 2005 by Amendment 35 with the responsibility for "overseeing program strategies and activities and ensuring compliance with Section 25-20.5-302" of the Colorado Revised Statutes (CRS 25-20.5-303 [1]).
