Cancer Prevention and Early Detection RFA will not be re-opened at this time. Due to multiple factors, and after much consideration, the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment (CDPHE) has decided not to re-open the Cancer Prevention and Early Detection Request for Applications (RFA) at this time. The soonest CDPHE may re-open the Cancer Prevention and Early Detection request for applications is in the Fall/Winter of 2019/2020 for funding starting June 30, 2020.

The intent of the Cancer Prevention and Early Detection Program is to fund organizations to implement strategies to address cancer prevention and early detection at one or more levels of the socio-ecological framework, depending on the needs of the underserved population served by and living within the service area of the organization. Strategies include Targeted Community Outreach, Clinic Quality Improvement, Health Navigation and Clinical Services.
