Oral health data and reports

The Colorado Oral Health Surveillance System (COHSS) monitors oral disease among Coloradans. This system is the result of a collaborative agreement between us and the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). Monitoring oral disease patterns lets us identify when disease levels change and trends emerge.
  • About the COHSS:
    • Collects, analyzes and disseminates data to inform and support oral health decision makers:
      • Data collection uses probability-sampling methods guided by the CDC to obtain representative samples of the state population.
      • These data let us monitor oral disease patterns across demographic groups.
      • Resources can be targeted appropriately to make the most impact.
