42 year old Robert Hatch was an owner of a downtown Denver tavern. He lived alone in an upscale high rise apartment building in the Capitol Hill neighborhood. A friend became concerned after not being able to contact Mr. Hatch. On July 6, 1972, a check of Mr. Hatch's apartment was conducted whereby it was discovered that Mr. Hatch had been beaten to death by an unknown suspect(s).
