About this Case:

On January 11, 1975, officers with the Colorado Springs Police Department were dispatched to the Safeway store in Colorado Springs, referencing a possible kidnapping and robbery. Officers learned the Store Manager, 32 year old Victor McClendon, was missing from the store and that the safe door was ajar. It was determined Victor McClendon had been kidnapped. On January 18, 1975, the Denver Police Department received a call from a resident living in the area of 54th and Franklin Streets in Denver, Colorado, that several children playing inside an abandoned garage building found a body later identified as Victor McClendon. Mr. McClendon died as a result of a gunshot wound. The investigation into his kidnapping and death remains open.
