About this Case:
On Saturday, June 7, 2003, Ivan Beaza-Garcia exited the barber shop in the Far East Side Asian Center near the intersection of West Alameda Avenue and Federal Boulevard. Mr. Beaza-Garcia became involved in a verbal altercation with an individual later identified as Juan Carballo Jr. As the argument escalated, the suspect Carballo Jr. armed himself with a handgun and shot Mr. Beaza-Garcia to death. After the shooting Mr. Carballo Jr., also known as "Bananas", fled the area in a sport utility vehicle. Currently, a warrant for Juan Carballo Jr. has been issued for the Investigation of First Degree Murder.
