About this Case:
On September 27, 2008, officers responded to the 4900 block of Peoria Street on a report of a shooting. Upon arrival, officers located the victim, Carlos Alva-Perez suffering from a gunshot wound to the head. Carlos was taken to the hospital where he later died as a result of his injures. The investigation found prior to the shooting a group of males and females in a vehicle pulled up next to Carlos's vehicle and exchanged words. As Carlos attempted to flee, the suspects fired into his vehicle striking him in the head. The vehicle then fled the scene.
