About this Case:

On the morning of October 25, 2004, Nicolas Ferrel-Ibarra was collecting receipts and cash from the check cashing business he worked at. As Mr. Ferrel-Ibarra approached his vehicle, he was confronted by two armed assailants. In an effort to avoid being robbed, Mr. Ferrel-Ibarra entered his vehicle and attempted to drive off. It was at this point that Mr. Ferrel-Ibarra was shot and killed by the gunmen. Denver Police Homicide Detectives issued an arrest warrant for Felipe Jesus Buelna during the initial investigation. To date, the suspect Buelna remains at large. Friends and family members of Nicolas Ferrel-Ibarra remember him as a fearless man. He worked as a journalist in Juarez, Mexico and here in Denver. At the time of his murder, Mr. Ferrel-Ibarra was married with two young daughters. Anyone with information regarding this case, is asked to please call the Denver Police Department.
