About this Case:

On March 9, 1970, the body of a female was found dumped off the side of Highway 128, 20 feet north of the Jefferson/Boulder County line, in Boulder County. The body was identified as Betty Lee Jones; she had been shot multiple times. Jones was last seen the day before in the early afternoon arguing with her husband of 9 days in front of their residence at 1216 York Street, Denver. He started to drive away from the area and saw her get into a blue 1961 or 1962 Chevrolet Malibu. When he drove around the block, she and the car were gone. Four suspects were identified and eliminated through DNA testing. Anyone with information regarding this case, is asked to please contact the Boulder County Sheriff's Office.
