On July 1981, 18 Jon Haynes came to Boulder from Contra Costa County, California anticipating attending CU. He was last seen at a 7-11 convenience store in the vicinity of 28th St. and Baseline in Boulder, CO. He disappeared a few days after his arrival and was reported missing by his father on July 24, 1981. His beige 1981 Subaru with California license plate number 1CPK105 was seen parked near Nederland a few days prior to his disappearance. The car was gone a few days later and has not been seen since.
