About this Case:

On February 19, 1997 at about 11:30 am, three hunters were hunting for mountain lions with a dog when they discovered the remains of who was later identified as James Dean Alderton. Alderton's remains were found about four tenths of a mile up Gilson Gulch, North of Idaho Springs. The body was nearly completely skeletonized. The Medical Examiner later determined that apart of the body had evidence of a gunshot wound.
