About this Case:
On August 20, 1997, officers were sent to the 1600 block of Alton Street on the report of a fight involving weapons. The victim was involved in a verbal altercation with a suspect which evolved into a physical fight. There was an apparent exchange of gunfire. Officers found the victim on the sidewalk with a gunshot wound to the head. Victim succumbed to that injury. The suspect(s) responsible for the death of George Green have yet to be identified.
