About this Case:

On August 27, 2005, at 9:57 A.M., Greeley Police Officers investigated a kidnapping that occurred in Greeley. Jorge Quinones-Martinez stated he had been granted an emergency full custody order for his four children on August 22, 2005, as the children's biological mother Maria Rivera was being voluntarily deported. Quinones-Martinez stated on August 26, 2005, he met with Maria Rivera, and allowed the four children to stay the night with her. Quinones-Martinez expected Maria Rivera to return the children at 10:00 A.M. on August 27, 2005, however, the children were not returned. Quinones-Martinez believed Rivera was possibly en route to Mexico with the children. United States Customs agent at the El Paso and Mexico border detained Jaime Lopez and Maria De Jesus, relatvies of Maria Rivera, but both denied assisting Maria Rivera with traveling into Mexico with Quinones-Martinez's children. An arrest warrant has been issued for Maria Rivera for kidnapping. The exact location of Quinones-Martinez's children is unknown at this time. Anyone with information regarding this case, is asked to please contact the Greeley Police Department.
