On August 17, 1976, 18 year old Melvin R. Vigil went to party at a house located near West 18th Avenue and Federal Boulevard. During that time a disturbance occurred and Mr. Vigil left the residence. The following morning, neighbors found Mr. Vigil deceased on their lawn. The police were called. During the investigation it was determined Melvin Vigil had been stabbed to death.
