CDPHE and LPHA sites
Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment (CDPHE) sites are regulatory grade sites utilizing high-end monitoring instruments. These sites undergo regular maintenance and calibration to maintain accurate monitoring data.
Local Public Health Agency (LPHA) sites often utilize high-end instruments, but may not meet the same maintenance and calibration protocols needed for regulatory rule making.
Overlapping sites
When the CDPHE and LPHA monitoring sites are co-located or at the same location, their symbols on the map will overlap. In this situation, the upper-right corner of the popup will contain left and right arrows to move between the different site's information.
Missing data
CDPHE sites populate at a few minutes after each hour. LPHA sites lag behind the CDPHE sites by a few more minutes, and do not always populate reliably. Try reloading the map at about 10 minutes after the hour, or later, to see more complete data.
