descriptions of each program and identify a project that matches your
primary interests. Contact that program directly to request detailed
program information. Each program has its own application, application
deadlines, and criteria for selection.
For a placement in another state, contact Corporation for National Service at http://www.americorps.gov to locate programs in other states and to fill out an online application, or call their recruitment hotline at 1(800) 942-2677, or send an e-mail to questions@americorps.gov with the subject line of "application packet." Be sure to include your full name, mailing address, zip code, AmeriCorps opportunity you are interested in (AmeriCorps State, National Direct, NCCC, VISTA, or more than one), e-mail address, phone number, desired geographic region or state, and type of service experienced desired, such as environmental, literacy, mentoring, health, etc.
