The Department of Agriculture's Rodent/Predator Control Section has exclusive jurisdiction over the control of individual animals, which are not at risk, that prey on agricultural products and livestock.

The Wildlife Commission has authority to designate "at risk" species. At risk species includes animals whose populations are in decline or which have been declared threatened or endangered. The Wildlife Commission must approve any Agriculture rules concerning at risk animals.
DOW Regulations cover subjects such as required hunting licenses; legal types of traps; trapping hours; restricted locations; notification requirements under the Thirty Day Trapping Period for Livestock and Crop Protection; relocation permits for live-trapped animals; and other subjects.
