ALL acupuncturists must register with the Office of Acupuncturist Licensure.
State law includes mandatory disclosure of information regarding the acupuncturist and state regulations to patients at time of initial patient contact, 12-29.5-103, C.R.S.

To work as an acupuncturist an individual must be:
An individual certified with the Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine, or
Contact the office regarding reciprocity or endorsement provisions
Licensed for two years.
Annual registration fees (every two years) with renewal every December 31.
Acupuncture can also be performed by qualified medical physicians and chiropractors, but those individuals are regulated by their own professional boards, and not the Office of Acupuncture Licensure.
