All product sales are subject to sales tax. Contact the Department of Revenue regarding sales tax licensing regardless of whether a business sells retail, wholesale, on consignment or at events. A person or business having a permanent location where retail sales are conducted on a regular basis must obtain a standard sales tax license. The fee for 2 years is $16, plus a one time only $50 deposit. The deposit is automatically refunded to the business after $50 in state sales tax have been remitted to the department.
