Colorado Division of Registrations State Plumbing Board 1560 Broadway suite 1350 Denver , CO   80203 (303)892-2300 Fax: (303)894-2310	Masters, Journeyman's and Residential licenses. All require exam plus experience in the field. License and exam fees vary. Installation or maintenance of domestic appliances equipped with backflow preventers, including lawn sprinkling systems, is exempt. (12-58-102(5), C.R.S.) The State Plumbing Board issues permits and employs inspectors who cover 25 counties throughout Colorado that are not inspected by local authorities. All public schools and state buildings regardless of their location are inspected by state plumbing inspectors. However, in the 25 counties that the state inspects in, you are required to obtain a permit and have the gas piping inspected by a state inspector. See "State Plumbing Rules."
