Colorado does not require licensure or registration of geologists. Colorado Statutes do require that geologic reports be prepared or authorized by a "professional geologist," as defined in 34-1-201, C.R.S.

Metallurgy frequently releases chemicals and solvent emissions into the air.
If the emissions are above specified levels, Air Pollution Emission Notice (APEN) is required. $152.90 filing fee, $76.45/hr evaluation fee. Requires final approval and ongoing inspections. Annual fee based on emissions.
If using Chromium Electroplating and Anodizing Tanks, they are regulated under the federal National Emission Standard for Hazardous Air Pollutants rule; see EPA’s " New Regulations Controlling Air Emissions from Chromium Electroplating and Anodizing Tanks."

On site approval required for industrial wastewater treatment plants. Pollutant discharge permits required for ALL discharges into water.

If discharging into a municipal wastewater treatment facility a pre-treatment permit may be required.
