Colorado law requires minimum education and experience requirements for architects. The Board has adopted the examinations, recommended grading procedures, and educational and practical experience requirements and equivalents of the National Council of Architectural Registration Boards (NCARB).
NCARB also administers the "Intern Development Program" (IDP) which qualifies candidates to take the Architect Registration Examination (ARE).
For more information about NCARB and/or IDP, contact the National Council of Architectural Registration Boards, 202.783.6500.

If you hold a valid Architect License in another licensing jurisdiction, you may seek to become licensed in Colorado by "endorsement." Contact the Board for more information.
Fees for examination, licensure, and renewal vary.
For all information on architecture licensing requirements, see: http://www.dora.state.co.us/aes/index.htm

NOTE:  Landscape Architects are not regulated in Colorado.
