Bottled water manufacturers are required to monitor source waters and finished bottled water products at least once a year for specified chemical contaminants under the current good manufacturing practice (CGMP) regulations for bottled water.

Must have raw water (well) tested by Department or certified lab. Costs approximately $500.

Bottling room and bottle washing room must be self-contained and meet Dept.'s requirements.
FDA labeling requirements apply and are enforced through the Colorado Pure Food and Drug Act.
Finished product must be tested annually.
Firms hauling water to a facility separate from their water source must follow Water Quality Control Division guidelines for hauling water.
