Morey Wolfson, SB91 Task Force (TF) Member, Utilities Program Manager, Governor’s Energy Office, welcomed attendees and ask everyone to introduce themselves. The draft agenda and copies of SB91 were distributed. The group reviewed the draft agenda- no changes were offered.

Mr. Wolfson provided a brief review of the September 18 Task Force Work Group meeting, and distributed minutes of that meeting.

Mr. Skiles presented a progress report on Generation Development Areas (GDAs). He displayed several maps and received input from those present regarding how to display and characterize the maps. The maps included electric service territories, generation and transmission, wind, concentrated solar power, geothermal, biomass, enterprise zones, demographics, and hydroelectric.

The group discussed exclusion areas and areas of potential concern. It was emphasized that the distinction between the two is important. The TF Final Report will discuss the distinction, and will show areas of concern to the extent that this data can be determined, as well as exclusion zones.

The group then reviewed the proposed outline of the Final Report. Several additions were offered, and it was mentioned that an outline of the Final Report will be brought to the Task Force for consideration at the October 15 meeting.

The group then reviewed a draft agenda for the October 15 Task Force meeting, and the group offered input into the agenda.

A few announcements were made, followed by concluding comments.

The meeting was adjourned at 4:00 p.m.
