High Performance Building Program
The Governor’s Energy Office (GEO) is working to change the way buildings are designed and built to capture environmental improvements from the start of the project, before opportunities are lost forever.
What is a high performance building?
High performance building helps reduce consumption of natural resources and minimize environmental impacts, increases productivity of building occupants, decreases maintenance and utility expenses, and provides an overall better building within the constraints of typical construction budgets.
How do I achieve a high performance building?
Realize a high performance building through the High Performance Building Integrated Design Process, a collaborative process, which drives the value of the built environment in Colorado communities through interaction at every phase: planning, funding, design, construction, operations and maintenance. More information about this process is coming soon.
