- Advanced Technology Fund

- Anaerobic Digestion Feasibility

The GEO understands that the first step to a successful Anaerobic Digestion (AD) project is a thorough feasibility study. As a result, the GEO will partner with facilities or farm owners and anaerobic digester experts in supporting the costs of a feasibility study. - Clean Energy Fund - New Energy Economy Development (NEED) Grant Program

The 2007 Colorado Legislature provided funding to the GEO for the purpose of creating the Clean Energy Fund. The Clean Energy Fund will provide revenue to advance energy efficiency and renewable energy throughout the state of Colorado through the NEED grant program. The current round of NEED grants is now closed. Check back here for updates.
- Colorado Carbon Fund

The Colorado Carbon Fund is partnering with The Climate Trust to identify and evaluate new and verifiable energy efficiency and renewable energy projects that reduce greenhouse gas emissions. The Colorado Carbon Fund is currently soliciting high quality greenhouse gas offset projects located in Colorado. - Community Woody Biomass for Thermal Usage Program

The GEO is currently seeking partners that are interested in promoting and developing community-scale bio-heating projects in Colorado. Learn more in the program's section of this website. - ENERGY STAR® New Homes Program

The GEO has launched its Colorado ENERGY STAR® New Homes Program. Read more about the program on the ENERGY STAR New Homes page.
- The program is now accepting applications from partners interested in implementing the program in 2009. Download the application here (PDF 165KB).
- The GEO is also accepting applications from Home Builders Associations interested in receiving funding for the delivery of ENERGY STAR New Homes training to area builders. Download the application here (WORD 210KB).
- A rebate application for homebuilders that build ENERGY STAR new homes can be found on the GEO's Colorado ENERGY STAR New Homes website.
- Event Support

The GEO is proud to support Colorado renewable energy and energy efficiency events and organizations. Interested parties are invited to submit an Event Support application (PDF 42KB) and a completed W-9 (PDF 79KB) for the GEO's consideration. The GEO has also created a green event planning checklist to assist event planners in minimizing the impact of their event. Download the checklist here (PDF 72KB).
- Geothermal Development Request for Information

The GEO has issued a Request for Information (RFI) to gain an understanding of the potential for geothermal projects in the state and the resources needed to assist developers of projects. The complete Geothermal Development Request for Information can be found here (PDF 38KB).
Please note that the official deadline for this RFI was March 14th, however GEO will still accept submissions until further notice. - High Performance Design Program

The GEO has launched its Insulate Colorado Program which offers rebates to qualifying homeowners for the installation of insulation and air sealing measures. Read more about the Insulate Colorado program here. The program is now accepting applications from partners interested in implementing the program in 2009. Download the appropriate application below:

Please note that these grants are NOT direct to homeowners or insulation contractors; a list of eligible responders is provided on the cover page of each grant application.
- K-12 Schools Program

The GEO is currently seeking schools that are interested in partnering to make energy improvements in existing K-12 school buildings, as well as building new high performance schools. - Multifamily Weatherization Request for Applications

The GEO is currently accepting applications for a statewide service provider for the multifamily component of the Governor’s Energy Office Weatherization Program. The service provider will be responsible for the statewide management, oversight and implementation of weatherization services in multifamily buildings. Application documents are found below. All parties intending to apply for this MUST send an email to multifamily.wx@state.co.us to express their intent as soon as possible in order to remain informed of all relevant information to this application. There will be a mandatory bidders meeting for this solicitation on July 17th. This is a sub-grant of the federal Weatherization Assistance Program grant. Only non-profit or governmental entities are eligible to apply. The GEO can not partner directly with a private company or individual thorough this opportunity. The GEO offers funding and technical assistance for feasibility studies for small hydro projects. If you are interested in applying for feasibility study funding, please indicate your funding needs in the Interest Form found on the Small Hydro Program page.
- Solar Rebate Program

The GEO offers rebates to Colorado homeowners and businesses for solar electric and solar hot water systems. There are five categories of rebates available. Please note that these rebates are NOT offered directly from the GEO to homeowners or businesses. Rebates are offered through the GEO's local Program Partners. Details are provided in the program's section on this website.
Program Partners for the 2009 Solar Rebate Program have been selected, however, the GEO will continue accepting applications for matching grants on an ongoing basis and will consider applications as funding becomes available. To apply, select the appropriate application below:
