
In April 2007, Todd Olson was appointed Director of the Division of Information Technologies (DoIT) where he is responsible for approximately 175 employees and an annual budget of $55 million. Previously, Todd was the Controller and CIO of the Department of Personnel & Administration (DPA).
The Division of Information Technologies delivers enterprise-level services to other State agencies. These services include data center operations, telecommunications and network services, archival and records management, software development, service desk, managed desktop services and technical support of the State’s financial, human resources, and internal billing systems.
Todd continues to serve as the CIO for the Department of Personnel & Administration. One of his responsibilities in that role is oversight of the internal information technology infrastructure that provides managed desktop services, application systems support, and security services for the department.
Todd brings an extensive financial background to the division along with his information technology skills. Todd, a Certified Public Accountant and Certified Information Systems Auditor, has served Colorado since 1994. Todd has held positions in the Office of the State Auditor (1994-1997), the Office of the State Controller (1997-2000), and the Department of Personnel & Administration (2000-2007).
Todd believes that his role as a leader for the State is to ensure that the citizens of Colorado receive the most efficient and effective use of their tax dollars.
