C-SEAP offers the following recurring classes:

Beyond Stress Management: From Survival to Self-Care and Satisfaction
"Stress Management" is often presented as a list of simplistic tips for coping with life's annoyances, with no emphasis on the basic human desires for happiness, contentment, and creativity. C-SEAP's cost-free 90 minute workshop approaches stress differently. In addition to techniques for reducing the negative impact of life's difficulties, participants will be introduced to current information on maximizing well-being, along with resources for developing personalized plans for stress-management and heightened wellness.

Practical Approaches to Conflict Management
Conflict in workplaces is inevitable. Some conflicts can be stimulating, productive, and healthy. But, some conflicts are destructive to morale, productivity, and personal well-being. This class focuses on differentiating healthy and destructive conflicts, defusing destructive conflicts, and encouraging healthy-conflict culture at work.

Dealing with Difficult Customers
All state employees serve customers, whether those customers are citizens, other agencies, or fellow employees. Inevitable, employees encounter customers who are, for a variety of reasons, difficult to deal with: perhaps impatient, extremely demanding, or even verbally abusive. Employees and customers both benefit if employees have effective strategies for responding to difficult customers in a manner that maintains customer service and simultaneously minimizes the stress experienced by the employee during the encounter. In this class, we explore specific strategies for dealing with common types of "difficult customer" behavior.

Anger Education
Anger Education class focuses on increasing participants' ability to distinguish effective and ineffective responses the the universal human experience of anger; to recognize the variety of internal and external factors that may tend to intensify one's experience of anger; and to identify methods for decreasing problematic anger and increasing effective and productive responses to feelings of anger. The class is a series of four sessions, one day a week.

Unless otherwise noted, all classes are held in the Denver CSEAP Office Training room located at 633 17th Street, Suite 1120.
