Colorado State Fair - Camp Tobin - 4H Girl with Chickens The 4-H continues to have a large presence at and influential contribution to the success of  the Colorado State Fair.  As such the 4-H has many permanent structures on the Fairgrounds, commonly known as Camp Tobin, so that 4-H delegates have the opportunity to take part in to take part in exhibits, demonstrations, competitions, and judging.  The 4-H as a statewide organization also uses the State Fair to make the citizens of the State of Colorado more aware of the ideals and accomplishments of the many 4-H programs.  The 4-H has been provided with two dormitories, an exhibit hall, a dining hall, and a auditorium.

Colorado State Fair - Camp Tobin - Auditorium

Built by the WPA/CCC in 1938 this typical brick masonry building was has been continually used as an auditorium used by the many members of statewide 4-H programs who have come to the State Fair to complete in their respective fields.

 

Colorado State Fair - 4-H Exhibit Hall Exterior The 4-H Exhibit Hall built in 1956 is used primarily for exhibits, competitions, and shows developed by the young members of the 4-H.
