| WHEREAS, | Executive Order D010 98, dated June 2, 1998, and Executive Order D011 98, dated June 8, 1998, were issued to provide Colorado National Guard assistance to the search efforts for the three heavily armed men who shot and killed a Cortez police officer and wounded other officers; and |

| WHEREAS, | two of the men remain at large and various search, response and mitigation efforts are continuing; and |
|
|
| WHEREAS, | Executive Order D011 98 which extended Executive Order D010 98, expires on June 10, 1998, unless otherwise extended. |
NOW, THEREFORE, I, Roy Romer, Governor of the State of Colorado, under the authority vested in me by the Constitution and laws of the State of Colorado, including Sections 24-32-2104 and 28-3-104, C.R.S., do hereby extend Executive Orders D010 98 and D011 98 until June 17, 1998.
