| WHEREAS, | Executive Order D010 98, dated June 2, 1998, was issued to provide Colorado National Guard assistance to the search efforts for the three heavily armed men who shot and killed a Cortez police officer and wounded other officers; and |
| WHEREAS, | two of the men remain at large and various search, response and mitigation efforts are continuing; and |

| WHEREAS, | Executive Order D010 98 expires on June 7, 1998, unless otherwise extended. |
NOW, THEREFORE, I, Roy Romer, Governor of the State of Colorado, under the authority vested in me by the Constitution and laws of the State of Colorado, including Sections 24-32-2104 and 28-3-104, C.R.S., do hereby confirm my verbal order issued on June 7, 1998, that Executive Order D010 98 be extended until June 10, 1998.
