We would like to acknowledge the incredible indexing work of Gerald Sherard and Connie and Jesse Ryan. These volunteers have been tireless for us and have added most significantly to our Historical Records Database. Our database would not be what it is without them! Thank you so much!

These web pages have been added to our site or significantly modified to improve public access to Colorado's archival records:

January 2, 2012.  For researchers, we have posted the El Paso County Probate Cases (1880-1969) to the Historical Records Database. 

January 13, 2012.  For genealogists and researchers Marriage Applications from Pitkin County (1890-1929) have now been indexed and entered into the Colorado State Archives Historical Records Database.

August 15, 2012. We are in the process of making many change at the Colorado State Archives.  At the present time, we are unable to respond to email requests or requests from the shopping cart feature on the Historical Records Database.  We plan to begin taking email/electronic requests in the future.  Please see our contact page for information the best ways to contact us.
