VIRTUAL TOUR of the COLORADO STATE HOME for DEPENDENT and NEGLECTED CHILDREN

EDBROOKE GYMNASIUM & RECREATION BUILDING  #3 & #4

A one story brick and frame structure built in 1922 - 1923 and kindly donated to the State Home by renowned regional architect Frank E. Edbrooke.  In 1961 the Multi-Purpose Recreation Building was erected, as Edbrooke Gymnasium had become not only a fire hazard but also lacked the running water necessary for showers and toilets.  The new Multi-Purpose Recreation Building was the last structure built at and for the State Home.
