VIRTUAL TOUR of the COLORADO STATE HOME for DEPENDENT and NEGLECTED CHILDREN

DORA E. REYNOLDS SCHOOL BUILDING  #2

Originally Lincoln Hall was used as a school, but there was a growing population at the State Home.  In 1917 a  three story building of brick and wood was erected for $35,360.85.  Traditionally, State Home children attended school at the on-campus Reynolds School along with students from the surrounding neighborhood during the elementary grades.  After graduating the Reynolds School students went to Denver Public Schools outside the State Home,  like Grant Junior High and South High.
