OWENS APPOINTS BISSELL TO FORT LEWIS COLLEGE BOARD OF TRUSTEES
(DENVER) - Gov. Bill Owens today announced the appointment of Brian T. Bissell of Lakewood to the Board of Trustees for Fort Lewis College in Durango. The college offers small classes, a dedicated faculty and opportunities to take part in hands-on research.
"Colorado's colleges and universities succeed because of good leadership and responsible stewardship," Owens said. "Brian Bissell's knowledge and experience make him a superb addition to the Board of Trustees."
Bissell is the vice president and chief financial officer of Colorado Christian University (CCU). A native of California, he has earned a master of business administration degree and a bachelor's degree in business.
Bissell's appointment is effective Jan. 1, 2006. The Board of Trustees establishes policies and oversees the operation of the college. Appointees must be confirmed by the state Senate. There are nine members.
