OWENS APPOINTS NANCY T. LEE TO THE SCIENTIFIC AND
CULTURAL FACILITIES DISTRICT BOARD OF DIRECTORS

(DENVER) – Gov. Bill Owens today announced the appointment of Nancy T. Lee of Littleton to the Denver Metropolitan Scientific and Cultural Facilities Board of Directors.

"Here in Colorado, we have much to be proud of when it comes to our scientific and cultural institutions," said Owens. "Nancy Lee's extensive experience will be a great asset to the Board's efforts to maintain and improve the high quality of those institutions."

Nancy Lee is currently a realtor for ReMax Classic and vice president of the Littleton Hospital Foundation Board of Trustees. Lee served on the Portercare Foundation Board of Trustees from 1993 to 2003. With a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Northern Colorado, Lee is an active member of the Denver community.

The Facilities District preserves and develops scientific and cultural facilities in the interest of Colorado citizens and the state's tourism industry and economic development.

There are nine members of the board, three of whom are appointed by the Governor. The term of office is three years and Senate confirmation is not required.
