OWENS APPOINTS NEW MEMBERS TO THE COLORADO
WATER RESOURCES AND POWER DEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY

(DENVER) – Gov. Bill Owens today announced the appointment of Barbara J. Green of Denver and Patricia G. Vice of Genoa to the Colorado Water Resources and Power Development Authority.

"In Colorado, water is central to our way of life," said Owens. "Barbara Green and Patricia Vice have the expertise necessary to help us meet the needs of our state and maintain our outstanding quality of life and economic well-being."

Barbara Green sits on the University of Denver Water Law Review Board, and is a member of the Board of Conservation Voters. A graduate of Northwestern University and the University of Colorado, Green is a practicing attorney for Sullivan Green Seavy.

Patricia Vice, Mayor of the town of Genoa, is executive director of the Lincoln County Economic Development Corporation. She served as president of the Colorado Municipal League, and is chairman of the East Central Council of Governments. Vice earned her bachelor's degree from CSU and her master's in education from Colorado College.

The Colorado Water Resources and Power Development Authority develops, constructs, and maintains water projects throughout Colorado.

The nine members of the authority serve terms of four years. Senate confirmation is required.
