OWENS APPOINTS PAMELA D. GROEGER AS STATE
REPRESENTATIVE IN HOUSE DISTRICT 50

(Denver) – Gov. Bill Owens today appointed Pamela D. Groeger as state representative in House District 50 to fill the vacancy left by the resignation of Tambor Williams in August 2004. Williams is executive director of the Colorado Department of Regulatory Agencies.

A resident of Greeley for over 40 years, Groeger is a Certified Public Accountant and small business owner. She graduated from the University of Northern Colorado with a degree in accounting. Groeger has worked in public accounting for eight years, and spent 14 years with Greeley Work Out West as a business manager and controller.

A founding board member of Greeley Transitional House, Groeger is also active with United Way of Weld County and PEO Sisterhood, a philanthropic education organization that supports the education of women. Groeger is a member of the Women of Fortune Investment Club, which promotes investing and financial education for women.

Groeger is married and has two children. She will serve out the remainder of Tambor Williams' term.
