OWENS APPOINTS PHILIP E. DOTY TO STATE BOARD OF ACCOUNTANCY
DENVER – Governor Bill Owens appointed Philip E. Doty of Littleton to the State Board of Accountancy.
Philip Doty is a retired partner at Arthur Andersen. He serves as president of the Colorado Society of Certified Public Accountants and as treasurer of The Mile High United Way. Doty is on the finance committee for the Denver Area Boy Scouts. He received his bachelor’s degree from Drake University.
The State Board of Accountancy is comprised of seven members who serve four-year terms and do not require Senate confirmation. The board regulates public accountants, reviews applications, gives examinations, grants certificates and permits, and acts against certified public accountants.
