OWENS APPOINTS DAVID F. EMRICH TO THE MOTION PICTURE AND TELEVISION ADVISORY COMMISSION
DENVER – Governor Bill Owens appointed David F. Emrich of Denver to the Motion Picture and Television Advisory Commission.
David Emrich is a freelance film editor and serves as president of the Post Modern Company in Lakewood. He served as picture editor for "A Story of Healing," which received an Academy Award for Best Short Documentary in 1997 and as picture editor and supervisor for "The Other Angels," which received the Gracie Allen Award for Best Documentary in 1997. Emrich has worked on commercials for Kellogg’s, Nintendo and the Colorado Lottery and on corporate pieces for Coors, Lucent Technologies, Time Warner Communications, Macy’s, TCI and Qwest. He received his bachelor’s degree from the University of Colorado.
The Motion Picture and Television Advisory Commission is comprised of nine members, eight of whom are appointed by the Governor. Members serve four-year terms and require Senate confirmation. The commission promotes the use of locations in Colorado for the filming of motion pictures or television films by the motion picture industry, the television industry and independent film makers.
