OWENS APPOINTS MARY J. DODGE TO THE STATE BOARD OF SOCIAL WORK EXAMINERS
DENVER – Governor Bill Owens recently appointed Mary J. Dodge of Denver to the State Board of Social Work Examiners.
Mary Dodge is an assistant professor in the graduate school of public affairs at the University of Colorado at Denver. She was an assistant professor in the department of Criminal Justice at California State University in Los Angeles from 1997 to 1998. Dodge was a research assistant for the National Institute of Child Health and Human Development Study of Early Child Care at the University of California at Irvine from 1992 to 1994. She received her doctorate from the University of California at Irvine.
The State Board of Social Work Examiners is comprised of seven members who serve three-year terms and do not need Senate confirmation. The board licenses state social workers in Colorado and conducts hearings concerning disciplining of state social workers.
