OWENS APPOINTS TWO NEW MEMBERS TO THE COLORADO COMMISSION ON HIGHER EDUCATION
DENVER – Governor Bill Owens recently appointed James M. Stewart of Colorado Springs and William B. Vollbracht of Denver to the Colorado Commission on Higher Education.
James M. Stewart will serve as a representative of the Fifth Congressional District. Stewart is president of the Infant Graduated Child Care Center and president of Technology Vectors, Inc. He received his master’s degree from the University of Southern California.
William B. Vollbracht will serve as representative of the First Congressional District. Vollbracht is the chairman of the Cleo Wallace Center Foundation and the Colorado Open Lands Commission. He serves as a board member of the Kent Denver School and received his bachelor’s from the University of Kansas.
The Colorado Commission on Higher Education sets policies for all state-supported institutions of higher education. Each of the nine commission members need Senate confirmation and are appointed to a term of four years.
